Just @ Note Memo chalkboard

Hey everybody!!

I'm back today with a project that I made both for Let's Get Bizzee! and Whimsy Stamps. From Let's Get Bizzee I received this adorable 3-pieced Harmonica Booklet and Let's Get Bizzee Chalkboard foil, I didn't have to use these to together, because the chalkboard foil can be used on just about anything, but when I saw the February release by 2 Cute Ink for Whimsy Stamps I knew I had to pair them up with the Write, Paint, Create! stampset.

The papers I have used are from my old stash so you won't be able to find them in stores anymore. The letters are Thickers and I used tangerine Stickles around the chalkboard foil. If you want to read how I made this project please visit the Let's Get Bizzee blog today, there will be a small tutorial there, it will be in Dutch but if you have any question just ask them here and I'll answer them. And remember, Let's Get Bizzee is a wholesaler that sells worldwide so if you see any products you would really like to own just ask your favorite retailer to take these products in their collection or you can check out one of the retailers (winkeliers) in The Netherlands and Belgium on the sidebar of the Let's Get Bizzee blog.

 And since the light was horrible when I took these pictures also a second picture of the completed project :)

As always the animals were colored with Copic Markers and completely 3D paper pieced.

And the little pieces to proof it :). If you want to try 3D paper piecing for the first time 2 Cute Ink is a very good stamp brand to start with.

Well hope you like my project! I'm busy with the March Wee Stamps release as I type this so I'll show you that in a week or so. Until then...

Whimsy Stamps showcase day 7 with 2 Cute Ink sample

Hello and welcome to Day 7 of Whimsy Stamps January Rubber & Die Release Showcase!

On Wednesday (23 January) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs, Shape EZ templates and *new* Whimsy Prints pre-coloured toppers. From then until 29 January the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop! Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw. To be entered into today's mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog on 30 January.

Today I have a sample with a second image from the Happy Birthday to You set by 2 Cute Ink.

Isn't this hippo funny? I have to admit that I have a weakness for hippos though :). The sentiment is also from a newly released set, Simple Everyday Greetings by Raindrop Echo Designs. The gorgeous corners are also newly released by Whimsy, they are the Lace Doily Corner 1, LOVE those! And the lace used on this card is also by Whimsy Stamps, it's the Lace Tape-White no.6, the adhesive to this lace is already attached so you stick it on like tape and it's gorgeous and delicate  I have inked both the sentiment and the base image (people who follow me for a longer time will know what I mean) while they were still in the die. And I have hand stitched around both the image, the sentiment and the design paper on the card. The ink I used is Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I used the same paper pad I used for my monkey card which is Green at Heart by Basic Grey and the flowers and pearls are all by Wild Orchid Crafts.

And a close up of the little hippo, as always colored with Copic Markers and 3D paper pieced.... but I had so much fun putting this little guy together that I forgot to take a picture of the little pieces :(.

For my sample today I worked with one of the sets released by a whole new brand at Whimsy Stamps... 2 Cute Ink. Have you had brands that you have followed for a long time and really liked but never got around to actually using one of their images? 2 Cute Ink is one of those companies for me. I have followed the 2 Cute Ink blog for a very long and there have been several images I had seen there that I had promised myself I'd use one day but never actually got around to it. Can you imagine my pleasant surprise when Denise announced to us that 2 Cute Ink would be the new brand being released as rubber stamps through Whimsy Stamps :).

Today I have worked with one of the three images from the Happy Birthday to You set.

Isn't that monkey just adorable? The papers I used are by Basic Grey from the 6x6 Green At Heart paper pad. The flowers are a mixture of Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts and The Ribbon Girl. The orange ribbon is from The Ribbon girl and the dotted ribbon is from stash. The rhinestones are Doodlebug and the gorgeous Oval shape is from Spellbinders, floral ovals. I used white ink around the edges of the papers to make the layers stand out and make the whole card a bit lighter and I hand-stitched around the images and the edges of the paper.

A close up of the cute little monkey. As always 3D paper pieced and colored with my Copic Markers. These images are very good to try 3D paper piecing for the first time.

And the little pieces this image was made of :). As you can see I kept the tree branch on the bottom layer.
