Sketch Saturday

Hiya Ladies!!

I can't believe how late I am with my card for Sketch Saturday!!! I had planned to do it yesterday but then we had guests and they stayed way later then I had expected and I just didn't get around to it. But it's done now!! When I first saw this one I was like OK.... this is nothing I would have come up with on my own. But that's the nice thing about sketches... you brake out of your regular routine. I decided I'd use this weeks sketch for a birthday card for my siter in law Angela. Angela is the kind of girl who likes things that most people would never buy :). When I'm in a store with my husband and we see something very bold that we'd never buy in a million years we joke around that that would be a nice gift for Angela... and it probably would :).

I had this Sassafrass paper I had left from a workshop I'd joined a couple of months ago and I thought that would be the perfect base for a card for Angela. And since there is an owl on the paper I thought I'd use Q.T. Hooty by Pink Cat studio. Here is my card:Now I have to tell you... it's not like my usual cards, it's way to bright and busy but I think that fits Angela :).

Now you can hate this card... but I did it with my sister in law in mind and I'm hoping she'll love it :).
