My friend Jacqueline Lancaster Beddingfield posted a link on Facebook to this story about a five year old boy who is battling cancer and who's wish for his sixth birthday, which is coming up next Friday, is postcards with his name on them. His story touched me so I went to work straight away and this is the card I made for Danny.
The image that I used is called Cuthbert Balloons and it was an image by Pollycraft. Unfortunatelly Pollycraft no longer sell their digi's online. All That Scraps does sell a selection of rubber stamps but this one isn't in that selection. I thought it was a cute image for a five year old boy though.
A close up of the image. I didn't take time to take a picture of the little pieces I'm sorry. It's colored with Copic Markers and 3D paper pieced as always though. The balloons got a shiny coat as did his nose.I hope you like the card I made for Danny but much more important, I hope Danny does. He likes Super Mario and Lego's as does my Leon (who is four) and Leon thought the card was really cool so I hope they also have the same taste in cards :). If you want to send a card to Danny as well please go to THIS link and you'll find his details. Let's make this a birthday he'll never forget!!
I'll add a list with materials that I used tomorrow but wanted to get this card online to hopefully inspire more people to send Danny a card.
Hugs,
Wat een schitterende kaart Mariska.
