Colouring tutorial

So my friend Jodi asked me how I used my Derwent Watercolour Pencils. I decided to do a small tutorial:
First I take my stamps, stamping plate, Versafine or Stazon ink and a correspondence card to stamp on. I make my stamped image and take out my Derwents.

I choose the colours I want to use and only colour the pieces I want to end up darker with a light shade.

Then I take a bit of water and two paint brushes (I don't like those waterfilled pens). I don't use a piece of paper to dry the brush like a lot of people do since I think that dries my brush to much, I just use my hand to get the right dampness.

Then I paint with the colour accents I made.

Now I add darker accents with my Derwents.

And again paint with a bit of water and those accents.

Then I take my Copics and add some highlights with my Copics and I do the skin with my Copics.

Then I add the last details with my Derwents like the cheeks.

And finally I add some glitter with stickles or Sakura Gelly Roll pens.

That's it. Not my best work ever but a quick tutorial on how I work. I hope it may give some of you some inspiration.

I'll be back tomorrow for day two of the sneak peaks at Pink Cat Studio. Don't forget to check out the first sneak peaks which I posted earlier this morning.
