Told you I'd be back real soon :). First, for all of you who haven't done it yet, could you please vote for your favorite in the Fashionista Challenge? I'm in the top ten with my altered box with Ruby by Sylvia Zet on top but don't vote for me if you feel a different card is better because there are some stunners. The more people vote the better though :). The link is: Fashionista Challenge Blog.
But that isn't the reason I'm bothering you guys today. I have been asked to be a guest designer for a marvelous new blog, the Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog. Now I'm not using Tilda's that often but I do own a couple and I couldn't think of a better chance to ink one. I bought this gorgeous Tilda with Snow Heart last year I think and I do think she is one of my favorite Tilda's. The challenge this week is easy, lace and pearls.
I have colored her with Copic Markers and 3D paper pieced her (as always). I have first colored a shadow behind her using W-Copic Markers and then used distress ink Stormy Sky over that to create the background color. The snowflakes were done using liquid Applique. I have glued some Shaved Ice by Stampendous beneath her feat. The heart has also received a layer of Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint. The pretty frame behind Tilda is from Marianne Design. The pretty snowflakes are a die set by Whiff of Joy. I noticed they are out of stock at the moment but they are gorgeous. I embossed the largest and the smallest with the point up and the middle one with the points down and glued that together with my Olba Glue. I don't think it shows as pretty on the picture as it does in real but I love the effect. The red design paper is an oldie by Magnolia, the white cardstock is Bazzill and the red cardstock is Cherry Cobbler by Stampin Up again. The sentiment is also Stampin' Up but from an older set I bought at Ebay last year. I have stamped it with Cherry Cobbler ink from Stampin' Up that I also bought from Krista Huysman. The lace and the pearls (the theme for this challenge) are from stash as are the pearl strings. Stitching was done by hand again oh and the little lacy corners are from a Spellbinder rectangle die set that I cut into pieces. This is a close up of gorgeous little Tilda.
And a picture of the little pieces that were used to create the image. As you can see the background was already done before I added the pieces. I only added the Shaved Ice at the bottom as a last step.
Well hope you like my creation as a guest designer of the Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog and hope you will join us for this challenge!!
Be back soon!!
