SOG and Whimsy team up, and Hol-ODD-Day Hop

Sorry that it's a little quiet around here. We've been going to some stressfull times around here and there just hasn't been much energy left to craft. I am busy on something new that I hope to show you on Wednesday but I haven't shown this project on my blog yet so I thought I'd show this to you now :). This card was featured in the 10th issue of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine (page 62). For this issue we did a company team up with Some Odd Girl and since I love SOG stamps I really wanted to join in. I actually used two SOG sets. The cute pinguins and the "You're too cool" sentiment are from the Winter Friends set, the banner is from the Angel Gwen set. Because SOG works with clear stamps you can easily bend the sentiment into a shape to fit the banner. I have to admit that I really prefer rubber stamps but this is one plus to clear stamps that I like :). The shape of the card is cut with a Double Scallop Doily Die by Whimsy Stamps and the sentiment is also Whimsy, it's from the Raindrop Echo Designs Holiday Circle Pennants set and was cut with the matching die.

The papers are Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas with white and turqoise cardstock. The string of pearls I bought at the Dutch Kruidvat last year and there is some bandage between the layers of papers. Faux stitching was done with a white gelpen.

This is a close up of the two cute pinguins. As always colored with my Copics and completely 3D paper pieced.
