On Wednesday (23 January) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs, Shape EZ templates and *new* Whimsy Prints pre-coloured toppers. From then until 29 January the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop! Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw. For my sample today I worked with one of the sets released by a whole new brand at Whimsy Stamps... 2 Cute Ink. Have you had brands that you have followed for a long time and really liked but never got around to actually using one of their images? 2 Cute Ink is one of those companies for me. I have followed the 2 Cute Ink blog for a very long and there have been several images I had seen there that I had promised myself I'd use one day but never actually got around to it. Can you imagine my pleasant surprise when Denise announced to us that 2 Cute Ink would be the new brand being released as rubber stamps through Whimsy Stamps :).
Today I have worked with one of the three images from the Happy Birthday to You set.
Isn't that monkey just adorable? The papers I used are by Basic Grey from the 6x6 Green At Heart paper pad. The flowers are a mixture of Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts and The Ribbon Girl. The orange ribbon is from The Ribbon girl and the dotted ribbon is from stash. The rhinestones are Doodlebug and the gorgeous Oval shape is from Spellbinders, floral ovals. I used white ink around the edges of the papers to make the layers stand out and make the whole card a bit lighter and I hand-stitched around the images and the edges of the paper.
