And a very good Saturday to you all once again,
I'm on the road again by the time this message is posted. I'm staying in beautiful Limburg here in Holland this time, one last long weekend away before my oldest daughter Dyanne is turning four (next Wednesday) and school starts and those unplanned mini brakes are not allowed anymore. Of course I'll be bringing some stamps and my pencils with me to do some colouring when the little ones are in their beds, all though there is a Turkish steamroom in the cabin we are staying in this week and there is the possibility of hiring a babysitter on the location we are going to.
But enough about me and my plans. It is time for Sketch Saturday and this weeks sketch by Jo (number 17) was great fun to do. And if you want to join us this week it could turn out to be even more fun for you 'cause this weeks sketch is sponsored by Bootiful Stampz and you could win this super sweet Peeking Bunny stamp! I know I'd love to win this one but no such luck for me :). Have you seen Jo's card for this week yet? She used this stamp and I love it! All the reason for you to join us again this week I'd say.
Now, on to my card with this weeks sketch. First the brilliant sketch by Jo of course:
And this is my end result:
Materials used:
Girl on Swing stamp by Elzybells
Thank you sentiment by Elzybells
DP, cardstock, ribbon, stardust Glitter Pen and gems from the CC Designs Sweet Treats Kit
Stickles Magenta
Derwent Watercolour Pencils
My new cuttlebug Swiss Dots emboss folder with my new Big Shot (LOVE IT!)
Foam cubes
Brown pen and a little bit of chalk
The card is a thank you card for the teachers at the peuterspeelzaal (I guess it is a sort of kindergarden). Dyanne went there for the last two years two mornings a week and they are such lovely ladies. I'm going to give this card to one of the teachers next wednesday (on her last day there) together with a box of chocolates that I am going to decorate in the same style. I'll have to make another card before wednesday and decorate another box of chocolates for the second teacher. I don't know where I'll find the time because Dyanne is also going to treat the other children in her group to apples with caterpillars sticking out made from candy (as in the book the very hungry caterpillar (Rupsje Nooitgenoeg) by Eric Carle) and I'll have to make those before wednesday as well. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it but for now I'm very happy with this card. Have a very good day, a lot of fun with the sketch and a lot of luck when it comes to the cute stamp from Bootiful Stampz!!
