Hello sweet ladies!
I know, it's been way to long but I really haven't found a lot of time to craft yet, especially with Marco in France the past week. Marco participated in the Alpe d'HuZes (link on right for details) for the Dutch association against cancer, the KWF. He climbed the Alpe d'Huez mountain in France four times and together with five colleagues raised more then 40.000 euro for this very good cause. There were about 3000 people climbing the mountain on Thursday and together they raised at least 10 million euro but I think that amount is going to double before October when the final amount is going to be known.
Anyway, I stayed up later last night to do some crafting because I have three birthdays coming up that I really want to make cards for. The first birthday is that of our very dear friend Erwin. I picked CC Designs Swiss Lederhosen Hansel for his card and placed him on the CC Designs Swiss Mushroom. It would be to long of a story to explain why but Hansel is just perfect for Erwin's card :). Here is my card:The new Card Art kit arrived today and it is filled with crafty colored items from Basic Grey amongst others. I decided this paper and the buttons and stuff in the kit were perfect for a boyish card but I did add a little piece of red dotted paper I had in my box with scraps of paper. The cork, cardstock, buttons, it's all from the kit. Here is a close up of the image:
I never do black hair but Erwin has black hair so I had to this time. This tutorial from Suzanne J. Dean helped me a lot.
I'll finish with a recent picture of Leon... he has grown so much these seven weeks. He already smiles, makes noises and most of the time sleeps through the night.
Well that's it for now, take care!!!!
