Today is review day at Whimsy stamps, on the Whimsy blog you'll see a couple of gorgeous cards created by the Design Team with the products that were released in August. Since I am a Special Guest Designer I don't have to attend but I can if I want to and since I hadn't inked up Sylvia Zet's gorgeous Summer Fairy yet I really wanted to join :).Double Scallop Doily Die, you can use this behind an image of course or use just part of it but I decided to punch out two of them, partly glue them together and create a card with them. I have colored the Summer Fairy to match a new paper pad I had bought from Lili of the Valley stamps, this one is called Promises and they are released by NitWit Collections. I had a little trouble matching the purple color in the paper, I did a bit of practicing before I got the color right, the combination I end up using was V04, BV02, V12, BV0000, V0000. The V colors have more red in them and the BV colors more blue, together they make for the perfect color to match the design paper. Love blending with my Copic Markers. The Cherry Blossom flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and the rose is by Prima. The white ribbon is also from Wild Orchid Crafts and the button is from stash. The sentiment is from a company that no longer excists, Elzybells, this is actually the stamp that made me choose the name for my blog, I'm thinking of doing a makeover of my blog with this new card :). I'd love to have a card with one of Sylvia's stamps on the front.
Hope you like my little simple card. Be sure to check the Whimsy Stamps blog for more gorgeous reviews of the August release!!
I'm entering this card into the current challenge at the Fashionista Challenge blog which is a card for a child.
